law enforcement officials are looking for a woman who robbed a winnie credit union at gunpoint yesterday morning. according to chambers county sheriff joe larive, deputies responded to Texas Coastal Community Federal Credit Union in Winnie shortly after 9 a.m. thursday. the financial INSTITUTIONS employees reported a woman entered the building, displayed a pistol, and demanded money.  Employees complied with the demands, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. she is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet tall and 110 pounds with long dark brown hair. the woman was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, large dark sunglasses, a red windbreaker, and blue jeans. She was last seen running east behind the building. A gray colored passenger car was also seen in the area and may be involved. the Texas City fbi office responded to the scene and is working with chambers county sheriff’s investigators to solve this case.
