District 22 3A team includes Panthers

This is somewhat old news but it is our first chance to report. Sometime ago the coaches of District 22 3A chose players for their All-district team. Recently we got the names of the Liberty Panther football players who named All-District. Liberty players were actually most successful on the defensive side of the ball. Top honors went to Liberty Junior linebacker Darrin Edwards and Senior defensive back James Freeman. Both of those players represented the Panthers on the defensive first team. Panther quarterback Jeremy Dickey, who also handled the punting duties, was named first team punter by the coaches of 22-3A schools. Junior offensive lineman Colton Hudnall is a second team selection as is Cody Garrett who made the second team for play as a Panther linebacker. Offensive lineman Josh Sell and Augus Roberts plus defensive lineman De'Jonge Robinson and Michael Brents all were named to the honorable mention all district list.
No surprise that Coach of the Year honors went to the district champion Cleveland Indian Head Football coach, Ricky Tullos in his second year.
