GILLILAND to all-state

liberty high school eleventh-grader conner gilliland has been named as a member of the 2010 texas all-state choir. lhs choir director freida davis said conner was selected after a series of AUDITIONS involving several hundred students from across the state. the texas all-state choir will present a concert in february for music teachers at the texas music educators ASSOCIATION’S annual conference in san antonio. freida davis said conner is only the fifth student from liberty high school choir to participate in choir at the all-state level. the last panther to accomplish that feat did so back in 1988. you might recognize the name – it was wes hinch, who now serves as liberty county attorney. repeating, conner gilliland – an eleventh grade student at liberty high school – has been selected to the 2010 texas all-state choir. conner is the son of mike and joann gilliland of liberty.
