do you want to learn about planting a garden or even a home fruit ORCHARD? the liberty county agri-life extension service along with the liberty county master GARDENER ASSOCIATION are hosting bill adams and his presentation TITLED "the kitchen garden". it will be next thursday, FEBRUARY 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the san jacinto elementary school auditorium on grand avenue in liberty. the deadline to sign up is tuesday. bill adams is a retired HORTICULTURE extension agent from harris county. he will discuss home fruit and vegetable gardening. the garden guru spent more than 30 years with the texas extension service, appearing REGULARLY on television and radio. he also wrote a column for the houston CHRONICLE. bill adams has authored two books – "Lone star gardener’s book of lists" in 2001 and "southern kitchen garden" in 2007. the author will have copies of his book for those interested in purchasing one. this program on "the kitchen garden" with bill adams is next thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the big AUDITORIUM behind san jacinto elementary – 1629 grand avenue in liberty. there is a $5 fee to cover materials. for reservations, call the liberty county agri-life extension office by tuesday at 936-336-4558, ext. 221.
