He is currently stationed in Camp LeJeune, N.C.
and has been deployed to Kuwait.  His job is in communications.
He is the son of Artie and Jo Williams of Dayton, Texas

Russel "Rusty" Minx                                                        2002 graduate of Dayton High School. Currently attending "C" school at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in Point Mugu, CA. After completing "C" school later this month, Rusty will be a member of the VAW120 Training squadron stationed at Naval Air Station, Norfolk, VA.  Rusty is the son of Johnny and Suzanna Minx of Dayton.

Cole Parrish. Cole is in the Navy serving on the USS Theodore Roosevelt in the Persian Gulf.  A graduate of Hardin High School, Cole is the son of Mike and Arlene Parrish of Hardin.

Marine Corps Reserve Lance Cpl. Jose A. Martinez Silva.  1995 Graduate of Austin High School in Houston. Serving with Inspector Instructor, Company B, 4th Assault Amphibious Battalion, Fort Point, Galveston, Texas.  Jose is the son of Maria G. Fonseca of Dayton Texas.

Cpl. Jerry W. Kline Jr. Unit is HQ. Bn. B Co. F. M. D. 29 Palms, CA. 2000 Graduate of Liberty High School. Son of Jerry & Marsha Kline Sr. Liberty Texas

Specialist Lloyd Terry. Formerly stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana, now serving in Kuwait.  Graduate of Channelview High School class of 1992.  Lloyd is married to Monica Terry, they have two children.  His Parents are Lloyd and Joanna Terry of Dayton. 

Pvt. Jonathan Hay. Graduate of Luling High School, currently serving in the Military Police in Seoul, Korea. Son of former Liberty Fire Chief, the late Mike Hay and Donna Hay of Luling, Texas. 

Ensign Eric Ryan Gould.  Currently finishing flight school in San Diego, California.  Eric is a 1996 graduate of La Marque High School. Wife Amanda Moore Gould.  Parents: Mr. & Mrs. Morris Gould of La Marque.  Son-in-law of Dr. & Mrs. Douglas E. Moore of Liberty 

Eric Allen Williams.  Stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, Eric is an Airman for the Navy. Graduated from Liberty High School in 2001.  Son of career Army N.C.O. Claude Williams *Note the salute below*, the grandson of JP and the late Evelyn Williams.  

Staff Sergeant Claude Williams.  A 1978 graduate of Liberty High School, Sgt. Williams is serving in Shanford, Germany in the Headquarters of the First Division assigned to a Bradley Tank.  The son of J.P. and the late Evelyn Williams. Son-in-law of Evelyn Easterling of Hardin. *Note the salute above* UPDATE: Transferred to Iraq. Where he will be serving a 1-year tour of duty. Headquarters division. 

Sgt. John Armstrong.  Army National Guard.  Currently stationed in Bosnia.  Wife Tonia and their three children, Jonathan, Crystal Marie and MaKayla all live in Moss Hill. 

Robert Wayne Patton. A graduate of West Hardin High School in Batson.  Robert is serving on the USS Harry Truman currently stationed in the Mediterranean.  His parents are Richard S. and Charlotte Patton. He has 2 sisters and 1 brother. 

Charles F. Stovall.  A 1996 graduate of Liberty High School, he has served in the U.S. Army for the past 6 years.  Currently stationed in Kuwait with the 814th E4 Engineering unit.  He is the son of Richard and Vernita Rivon of Liberty.  Charles is 25, has one daughter, Cortnee Stovall and is a member of Our Mother of Mercy Church in Ames. 

Fire Controlman Second Class Johnny McGowan. Fire Controlman Johnny McGowan is attending school for Spy One Delta Radar in Dahlgren, Virginia.  He is to be stationed to a navy destroyer in Hawaii. He married to Jennifer Williams of Dayton.  He is the son-in-law of Lynn and Lori Williams of Dayton.  

Operations Specialist Zachary S. Williams.  Serving aboard the USS Hopper, DDG-70 with home port in Hawaii.  Zachary Williams is a 1997 graduate of Dayton High School and the son of Lynn and Lori Williams of Dayton. 

Seaman Apprentice E-2 Christopher L. Gumminger. Graduate of Hardin High School, Chris is now in what is called "a" school in Pensacola, Florida.  According to family members, he was in March, named sailor of the month and is presently ranked number one in his training class in Florida.  Seaman Apprentice Christopher L. Gumminger is the son of Stephanie DeLoach of Anahuac. 

Marine Corporal Jacob Bullion.  From Old River in Chambers County, he is a graduate of Barbers Hill High School, class of 1997.  Jacob is 23 years and currently attending instructors school for military operations in urban terrain, being held at Camp Pendleton, California.  He is the son of Belinda and Jerry Bullion of Old River. 

Lance Corporal Jerry Nugent.  He is assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.  he is one of more then 4,000 pacific fleet Sailors and Marines aboard the ships of the USS Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready group.  Jerry is the son of Barbara and Martin Nugent of Raywood. ***U.S. Marine Corps press release dated 11.5.2003 " Lance Cpl. Nugent recently returned from and eight-month deployment." 

Lt. Col. Mark B. McClelland Air Force Reserves age 52.  Currently stationed in Tampa, FL Central Command.  Lt. Col. McClelland lives in Liberty with his wife Sharon.  They have 2 children. 

Dru H. Bond.  A 13 1/2 year veteran of the Navy, Dru is stationed in California, currently serving on board the aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson near North Korea.  A 1989 graduate of Liberty High School, he is married with a daughter and son.  His mother is Jimmie Bond of Dayton.

Capt. William Schlortt.  With the 574th supply company of the 51st maintenance battalion based in Manheim, Germany. He is now serving in the area of the Turkish-Iraqi border. Married to Holly Urban, Daughter of John and Audrey Urban of Dayton. Capt. Schlortt is a graduate of D'Hannis High School in D'Hannis Texas and from Tarleton State University of Stephenville. 

Pfc. Tim Niemeyer.  United States Army Military Police. A 2002 graduate of Liberty High School, Tim is in the 720th Battalion - 64th MP company station at Fort Hood in Kelleen.  Currently deployed to support operation Iraqi Freedom.  His Parents are David and Ginny Niemeyer. His wife is Danielle, they have one son, Cameron.

Specialist Ronnie Clay Randolph.  He is a 23 year old graduate of Liberty High School in the class of 1998.  Married to Jamie Knight of Liberty, they have one son, Xavier.  His mother is Barbara Sterling Chatlin of Raywood. His grandmother is Frieda Sterling of Liberty and Grandfather is Floyd Randolph of Hardin. 

Pvt. Eric Gilliland, age 19.  A graduate of Liberty High School class of 2002.  Pvt. Gilliland is a combat engineer stationed at Fort Riley Kansas.  He has received orders for deployment. His family includes his wife Julianne and son Landon. Grandmother Barbara Van Deventer and Parents Roy and Brenda Gilliland. 

SPC. Danny Thompson, 30.  Stationed in Kuwait, he works as an army engineering specialist.  A 1990 graduate of Hull-Daisetta High School. He is married to Donia.  They have a five year old daughter Chinere.  Danny is the son of Priscilla Thompson. 

Eric Mancilla, Navy Air Traffic Controller.  Scheduled to depart from Norfork, VA for Bahrain soon. A 2002 graduate of Liberty High School. His parents are Jesus and Enebina Mancilla of Devers.  

Pvt. Michael Repka.  Military Police stationed at Fort Benning, GA currently serving in Kuwait.  Attended Liberty High School, Michael is engaged to Heather Reed of Smith Station AL.  His is the son of Jack & Kathy Everitt, with one sister Angie Everitt Ortiz of Liberty. Michael joined the Army in 2001.

 Pvt. Branden J. Millican.  Attended Dayton and Sterling High Schools.  Branden is married to Shena Blair of Anahuac.  They have a son Cobie Ray Millican.  His parents are Tina and West Ball of Baytown, sister Cathryn Simmons and brother Glen Millican of Dayton & Liberty.  Serving with the 8th Infantry in Kileen, he is currently awaiting deployment orders.

 Seaman Charles S. King.  Graduate of Liberty High School in 2002, he is now serving on board the USS Harry S. Truman in the Mediterranean Sea as a Radio and Communications Specialist.  His Mother and Father, Stephanie & John Chaplain.  He has two sisters and two brothers including Sgt. John Chaplain who is serving as a US Army recruiter in Baytown.  All are residents of Liberty Texas. 

Darren Lee Miller.  2001 graduate of Hardin High School.  Darren is presently in Tokyo Japan serving in the US Navy with the prestigious Navy Seals.  Darren's very proud step-father is Akram Ramadan. 

Staff Sgt. Stephen Garcia.  A 1989 graduate of Liberty High School, he is currently serving with the 1st Marines, 3rd Battalion in Iraq.  He and his wife, Lydia, have 4 children.  His parents are Davis and Rosie Adames of Houston. 

Airman 1st Class Danielle Burrell.  Airman Burrell is 21 years old, now serving in Kuwait as a Chaplains Assistant.  A graduate of the class of 2000, Hardin High School, Danielle is the daughter of Clayton and Wanda Burrell of Hardin.  Grandparents are Floyd and Wilbeth Randolph of Hardin, and Clyde Burrell of Hardin, and Agnes Randolph of Kendleton.  She has a brother, Dan and sister Megan Burrell both of Hardin. 

Senior Airman Spencer Duclos.  Currently serving as a member of the security forces in the law enforcement division at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, he has won several awards for his dedicated military service.  Duclos attended Baytown schools until his junior year and then graduated from Hardin in 1998. His mother is Brenda Duclos of Baytown and grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. A.B. Rawlinson of Hardin. 

Seaman E3 Bradley Burrell.  Serving aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier.  Seaman Burrell is in charge of a crew working on the flight deck.  A 2001 Hardin High School graduate, he is the son of Preston and Sandra Burrell of Hardin.  His brother is Brandon of Florida. Seaman Burrell is one of three members of Olive Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Hardin currently serving in Iraq. 

Aaron Edwards, Machinist Mate First Class.  Currently assigned to the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower.  A 1999 graduate of Dayton High School, Aaron is the son of Leslie and Sandy Edwards of Dayton, and brother of Becky Edwards a senior at Dayton High School. 

Cpl. Michael V. Martell.  A 1998 graduate of Dayton High School, Cpl. Martell is assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit from Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.  Since their arrival in country, marines and sailors from Martell's unit engaged enemy forces in Al Kut, conducted several successful convoy operations and began the rebuilding process in te village of Hasham.  Cpl. Martell is the son of Aleta and Mark Martell of Dayton. 

Seaman Kristin Chaffin.  A 2000 graduate of Dayton High School, Seaman Chaffin participated in the opening phase of operation Iraqi Freedom while assigned to the Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.  Seaman Chaffin is one of more then 8,000 pacific fleet sailors and marines aboard the ships of that battle group.  Kristin Chaffin is the daughter of Janet and William Chaffin of Dayton. 

Pvt. Brian C. Treille. Son of Leah and Jeff Treille of Liberty.  A 2002 graduate of Hardin High School, Pvt. Treille recently completed 12 weeks of basic training in San Diego. 

Capt. David Arrendondo.  A Chaplain, Ranger and Paratrooper, for the US Army 503 division assigned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  David is married to Ramona, and they have four children: Rachel, Andrea, David and Paul. A graduate of Aldine High School in Houston, Capt. Arrendondo is the son of Jimmy and Annie Fontenot of Dayton. 

Chief Petty Officer Robert Arredondo.  Aboard the USS McCain DDG 56. CPO Arredondo is husband of Liro, and father of two: Roland and Christopher.  He and his brother, (see above), David, graduated from Aldine High School in Houston. Mother and Father are Jimmy & Annie Fontenot of Dayton. 

Petty Officer Ralph W. Linkenhoker, III.  Serving on board the USS Iwo Jima LHD-7, in the Persian Gulf.  A graduate in 1998 from Clear Lake High School, he is the son of Liberty Postmaster Ralph Linkenhoker, Jr. 

Sgt. David Walters. A 1996 graduate of Hardin High School.  David is in the U.S.Army, 20th Brigade, 37th Engineer Battalion.  David is stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina and currently deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.  His parents are Robert and Beryl Walters of Moss Hill.

Seaman Lydell D. Smith.  A 2001 graduate of Dayton High School, he is the son of Tammy J. and Erroll G. St. Julian of Dayton.  He recently Reported for duty at the Nave Support Facility at Diego Garcia. 

Pvt. Lucas Gradney.  Pvt. Gradney is a 20 year old graduate of Hull Daisetta High School.  Stationed at Ford Hood in Killeen Texas, but on active duty in Iraq. Pvt. Gradney is working in transportation for the army.  His parents are Adam and Mary Gradney of Raywood. 

Staff Sgt. Brian Jay Davis. SSGT Davis is stationed at Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina but has been deployed in Iraq since Feb. Brian Davis is a mechanic in the Third  Battalion, 325th Infantry regiment of the 82nd Airborne.  He has received such honors as "Mechanic of the Year" and is a certified jumpmaster.  The son of Ron and Freida Davis of Liberty, he is married to Melissa Davis and they have a son, John Garner. 

Major Anthony Landry, Sr. An Operation Research and System Analysis Officer, Major Landry Sr. is a 1976 graduate of Hull-Daisetta High School.  His parents are Antorine and Mary Landry of Raywood. He is married to Tami Landry they have two children. Anthony, Jr. (See salute below) and Alden.  Currently Major Landry is stationed in Fort Leavenworth Kansas. 

1st Lt. Anthony Landry, Jr.  Lt. Landry is an Assistant Operations Officer.  The son of a career military officer, (See salute above) he is from Hampton, Virginia, stationed at Fort Hood, currently deployed to Kuwait.  His Grandparents are Oscar and Mabel Medina of Liberty and Antorine and Mary Landry of Raywood, and Great Grandmother Gloria "Pat-Pat" Coleman of Raywood. 

Staff Sergeant Joseph M. Victorian.  The 31-year-old son of John and Carolyn Victorian is a 1990 graduate of Liberty High School, a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and married to Latasha with three daughters: Jasmine, Adriana and Tatianna.  Now serving in Kuwait, he is in the famous 101st Airborne, known proudly as the "Screaming Eagles" 

Navy Ensign Travis J. Thornton. A recent graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland, he is now a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.  A 1999 graduate of Liberty High School, Ensign Thornton is the son of Roberta and Neil Thornton of Liberty. ** Ens. Thornton is serving as serving as Electronics Warfare Officer aboard the Guided Missile Destroyer LaBoon. 

Private Benjamin T. Sharplin.  A member of the Army Reserves, he is currently in basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  His unit is the Third Platoon-Rough Riders, a company 35th engineering battalion.  Pvt. Sharplin will graduate from Dayton High School in May 2004 and is the son of Vernon and Nan Kinnison Eppinette of Dayton and Doug and Cindy Sharplin of Louisiana. 

. PRIVATE FIRST CLASS DAVID B. CORTEZ.  RECENTLY GRADUATED FROM THE CANNON CREWMAN COURSE WHILE ASSIGNED TO THE U.S. ARMY FIELD ARTILLERY SCHOOL IN FOR SILL OKLAHOMA.  DURING THE COURSE, PFC. CORTEZ RECEIVED INSTRUCTION ON THE IDENTIFICATION AND USE OF ARTILLERY AMMUNITION.  CORTEZ IS A 2002 GRADUATE OF NIMITZ HIGH SCHOOL OF HOUSTON.  HIS MOTHER IS BLANCA L. CORTEZ OF CLEVELAND

JONATHAN STUBBS.  A 2003 GRADUATE OF HARDIN HIGH SCHOOL. JONATHAN STUBBS IS A MEMBER OF THE MARINE CORP.  HIS MOTHER IS BONNIE BISHOP OF HARDIN, FATHER ROY STUBBS OF DAYTON, GRANDPARENTS BO AND ETHEL STUBBS OF DAYTON AND GRANDMOTHER, WHO PROVIDED US WITH THE INFORMATION, JOANNE ROSSEL OF LIBERTY. 

PFC Jonathan Stubbs has finished his final training at Fort Leonardwood, Mo. and will now be stationed in Okanawa, Japan.. he will be stationed there for 12 months in the motor transportation pool.

MARINE CORPS PVT. CARMEN V. LANIER. LANIER RECENTLY COMPLETED HER BASIC TRAINING AT MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT, PARRIS ISLAND SOUTH CAROLINA.  LANIER AND FELLOW RECRUITS ENDED THEIR TRAINING PHASE WITH AN EMOTIONAL CEREMONY IN WHICH RECRUITS ARE PRESENTED THE MARINE CORPS EMBLEM AND ADDRESSED AS MARINES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THEIR CAREERS.  PVT. CARMEN LANIER IS A 2003 GRADUATE OF OKEECHOBEE HIGH SCHOOL IN OKEECHOBEE, FL AND THE DAUGHTER OF DELORSE AND THOMAS GAMMONS OF CLEVELAND TEXAS

Staff Sergeant Richard E. Kovach: Currently serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq with 1CAV, Fort Hood, TX as a tanker.  He is the husband of Cynthia L. Dugat-Kovach, daughter of Wilber Dugat (originally of Old River, TX) and Madine Benton Dugat (originally of Eastgate (Dayton), TX).  Brother-in-law and sister-in-laws in Dayton area include Jimmy Martin and Nancy Dugat-Martin of Old River, and Eularian Dugat and Autum Russell Dugat of Dayton.

Pvt. First Class, Steven C. Warren, Jr.:  Pvt. Warren is a 2003 graduate of Cleveland High School.  Pvt. Warren recently graduated for advanced infantry training at Fort Benning GA.  During his training, he got instruction as an infantry man using light and heavy anti-armor weapons and mechanized operations while assigned to rifle or mortar squadrons.  He is the son of Cind Warren of Cleveland. 

Pvt. First Class Khris Slaughter:  Pfc.. Slaughter is a 2003 graduate of Dayton High School.  A recent graduate of Cannon Crewman Course at Fort Sill, Ok.  During the course Pfc. Slaughter received instruction on the identification and use of artillery ammunition.  Khris is the son of Kimberly L. and Terry C. Slaughter of Dayton. 

Pvt. First Class Christopher Johnston. A 2003 graduate of Mont Belvieu High School, PFC Johnston is assigned to Gulf Company 3rd Platoon, stationed in Ar Ramadi.  His parents are Carmen Sandifer and Berry Johnston.  He is the nephew of Liberty Police Chief Bill Griffin and his wife Cindy. 

PFC. Derek Johnson. Pfc. Johnson is a member of the 16th Signal Battalion and will soon be on his way home from a year long tour of duty in Iraq.  A 2001 graduate of Anahuac High School, Derek is the son of Lee Ann Wheat, a former dispatcher for the LIberty County Sheriff's Department, currently living in Bryan Texas. 

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Kevin D. Kelley. His home port is Pascagoula, Mississippi.  He and his ship mates recently departed on a routine scheduled deployment aboard the USS Ticonderoga to conduct counter drug operations off the coast of South America, an exercise designed to build friendships while increasing the capability of the U.S. Naval Forces to operate with other nations.  Petty Officer Kelley is the son of Melody and Kenneth Kelley of Dayton. 

Airman Terence R. Franklin. A 2003 graduate of Cleveland High School, Airman Franklin recently completed his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.  He is the Son of Angela Franklin and S.T. Franklin Jr.  Both of Cleveland. 

Airman Lakeshia N. Louis. Airman Louis completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.  This training included air force mission, military customs, physical training, rifle marksmanship and more.  Airman Louis is the daughter of Norman and Elinor Tellis of Cleveland and a 1997 graduate from Cleveland High School. 

Airman First Class Guadalupe Rodriquez. This 2003 Cleveland graduate recently completed her six weeks training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.  During her training Airmen Rodriquez studied Air Force organization and military customs.  She was involved in extensive physical training, rifle marksmanship and other training specific to the Air Force mission.  Airman First Class Guadalupe Rodriquez is the daughter of Arnulfo and Carmen Rodriquez in Cleveland. 

Combat Infantryman Eli Blake Rich. With the First Cavalry Unit from Ft. Hood, Eli Blake Rich was deployed mid-March to Baghdad, Iraq where he has been told to expect a tour of duty to last from 14 to 16 months. Eli's parents are Terry and Kathy Blake Brunson, and David Rich.  His grandparents are Shirley and the late Bobby Blake, plus the late Hollis and Estelle Rich, all from Liberty.  Eli Blake Rich's wife, Ashley Heim Rich, and their two children, Blaine and Jessye also live in Liberty. 

Marine's First Class, Adrian & Fabian Molina (Twin Brothers). The brothers recently completed their training at Fort Leonardwood, Mo. and have now been stationed at Quanico, Va.  where they will be in the motor transportation department.  Adrian and Fabian are the son's of  Linda Evans of Tarkington.  They were graduates of Hardin high school in 2003.
