16 new COVID cases takes number over 200

As coronavirus cases continue to spike upwards in Liberty County KSHN reported, late Thursday morning, that now cases of the virus has topped 200. To be exact now there are 209 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The Liberty County Office of Emergency Management reported 16 new COVID cases Thursday afternoon. That is now 46 news cases just this week alone. Since Monday of last week, Liberty County has added 101 new COVID-19 cases. Emergency Management officials report 7 of these newest cases are up north of SH  Highway 105 in North Liberty County. The other nine new cases are from the south end of South Liberty County. All 16 of the new cases are being treated at home. Ages of these new cases range from under 10 to the 50s.  Since the start of the pandemic in March, 759 Liberty Countians have been tested, with 209 of those testing positive for COVID-19. Out of those 209 confirmed cases, 78 have recovered. The record shows 3 deaths overall are attributed to COVID-19 here in Liberty Co.
