A 1/2 a million to Liberty

The City of Liberty has learned they are getting 560,000 dollars in federal stimulus money for COVID-19 expenses. At Tuesday night’s Liberty City Council Meeting, the council authorized City Manager Tom Warner to sign documents required, to get those federal funds. Mr. Warner says the stimulus money does have strings attached to it. The cities chief executive officer says any money left after the City of Liberty spends the stimulus money on COVID-19 related expenses must go back to the federal government.
