Five blood drives coming in the month of September in Dayton. The Dayton’s Police Department and Dayton Volunteer Fire Department are teaming up with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to host 5-blood drives during the month of September in recognition of Childhood Cancer Month. These drives will be held each Tuesday, from 8 am - 11 am in the training room of the Volunteer Fire Department located at 2004 N. Cleveland St in Dayton. As we said September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time to, shall we say, sock it to cancer. When you step up to give blood in September, you’ll also get an awesome pair of The Blood Center Socks as there way to “thank you” for helping children fight cancer. One other thing. Although appointments are not required, they are preferred as that helps in social distancing for donors. To sign up, visit daytontx.org/giveblood. Masks are required. If you do not have one, the staff will offer you one. Again, these Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s Dayton blood drives are each of the five Tuesday’s in September from 8 AM until 11 Am in the training room of the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department - 2004 North Cleveland Street in Dayton. It’s the easiest way anyone can ever save a life.
