  1. The Feaux Real Trade Days, set for this weekend at the TVE Fairgrounds has been canceled. The operator for this very popular event told us this month was shaping up to be one of their biggest in terms of vendors but due the declaration of the state wide disaster and the very big crowds they have every month, the decision was made Monday that Feux Real Trade Days at the TVE Fairgrounds would be canceled for this month.

  2. Effective now the Texas State Library and Archives Commission facilities statewide are closed until further notice.  This includes all services at the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center in Liberty. This, of course, to help break the cycle of transmission of the COVID-19 virus and minimize risk of exposure by staff and visitors. Patrons needing assistance with the archives, genealogy, or other services are encouraged to leave a voicemail at 936-336-8821 and a staff member will call you back. 

  3. In response to the City of Liberty's Declaration of Disaster, the Liberty Municipal Library is closed until further notice.****

  4. The Dayton Police Department announces there will be punishment enhancements for crimes committed during the disaster declaration time period. On that subject, Pursuant to Texas Penal Code the punishment for any of the following offenses is increased by one degree if they are committed during the pendency of Governor Abbott's statewide disaster declaration: this will include assault, arson, robbery, various types of burglary, criminal trespass and theft.****

  5. DPS extension: Due to precautionary measures and ‘social-distancing’ recommendations from the CDC, the Texas Department of Public Safety is extending the time to renew expired driver’s licenses. The extension will last for the duration of Gov. Abbott’s declaration of State of Disaster. The extension only applies to the expiration date on licenses and not for people who are ineligible to drive due to suspension, revocation, or denial. 📷 ReplyForward
