Chambers County Burglary Interrupted

The sheriff of chamber’s county, Brain Hawthorne, reports that his Deputies were called to the 2200 block of Jordan Drive., regarding a burglary in progress. Chambers County deputies arrested 20-year old Kevon Quashaie on charges of theft of a firearm as well as burglary of a building. Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Randy Van Deventer set bonds of $30,000 dollars.

During the course of that investigation, Sheriff’s detectives learned of another person involved in still another theft of a firearm from a residence.

Ray Castaneda

That subject was identified as 24-year old Ray Castaneda of Beach City. Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Judge Blake Sylvia issued a warrant for Castaneda’s arrest. He too was arrested and also charged with the offense of theft of a firearm. JP Blake Sylvia’s set Castaneda’s bond set at $25,000. Both were arrested and booked into the Chambers County Jail.
