On July 20, Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne’s Detectives along with their Covert Investigation Unit, and members of the Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of Sweet Bay Drive. The warrant was signed by District 344 Judge Randy McDonald. During the search two suspects, identified as 57-year old Gerald Satchell of Baytown and 35-year old Katie Kilgore were taken into custody.
The search of the property and home revealed some 11.6 grams of methamphetamine, 7.6 grams of heroin, 0.3 grams of cocaine plus 0.2 grams of LSD. Also recovered were numerous plastic baggies and digital scales. A rifle with the serial number filed off was also located. Both Satchell and Kilgore were jailed on numerous counts of possession of illegal drugs and tampering with a weapon serial number. Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 Randy Van Deventer set bonds totaling $44,000 for each suspect. The successful search by members of the Chambers County Sheriffs Detective Bureau, with their Covert Investigation Unit as well as the Special Response Team was carried out at 2200 Sweet Bay Drive, Baytown.
