City of Liberty is accepting applications for a certified Firefighter/EMT

The City of Liberty is currently accepting applications for a certified Firefighter/EMT. Testing for the position will take place on Thursday October 8th 2020 at the Liberty Fire Department, at 1912 Lakeland, in Liberty. Qualified applicants must have a Basic Structural Firefighter Certification from the Texas Commission of Fire Protection and must be an EMT-B certified from the Texas Department of State Services. Intermediate EMT and Paramedics are preferred. If applicant is a Paramedic, but does not have Fire Certification, if that person is hired, the applicant will be sent to the Fire Academy. The requirements of the position also call for a Texas Class B Drivers License that the applicant should get within 90 days of employment. The applicant must meet all Liberty Fire/EMS Medical Director requirements.
