Cleveland City Manager Retiring


In a news release on Thursday we learned that long time Cleveland City Manager, Kelly McDonald, is retiring from the City of Cleveland after almost 27 years on the City of Cleveland staff in one capacity or another. Her retirement becomes official on September 16th of this year. Ms. McDonald has held various positions in the city but the longest period was as City Secretary. After that period she also worked as the chief executive officer for Cleveland another 6 years as city Manager. During Kelly McDonald’s time as City Secretary, she was called upon, again and again, to be the interim City Manager.  The news release said the citizens of the City of Cleveland and the employees appreciate greatly her years of service.  Again, Kelly McDonald – City Manager for Cleveland in far north Liberty County will retire from post on September 16th . She has worked in various capacities for nearly 27 years in Cleveland, 6 years as city Manager.
