Dayton Hires Firm for Investigation

Wednesday night, in a special called meeting, the Dayton City Council met in executive session to discuss complaints filed against Dayton City Manager Theo Melancon. After nearly two hours behind closed doors council voted to hire the law firm of Blank Rome LLP, in Houston, to investigate a complaint lodged against the City Manager. Dayton City Attorney Brandon Davis said he could not share information about the nature of the investigation. In a press release, the City of Dayton said this action was taken to ensure that this is done properly, without bias, and according to professional standards.
