A Dayton woman was found dead in Chambers county. KSHN Reported Tuesday A woman’s body was found November 14 in Chambers County. Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said Saturday afternoon, around 2:30, his department got the call of a possible deceased person being discovered near a drainage ditch in the 1500 block of Hankamer Lood Road. There, Chamber’s County Deputies found a woman’s body. Investigators believed she had been there for an extended period of time. The woman has been identified as 46 year old, Angela McGirr, from Dayton. Chambers County investigators say Mrs. McGirr is also known to go by the name Angela Rowles. The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in reference to an ongoing murder investigation.
Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are investigating this as a homicide due to suspicious circumstances and the manner of death. Detectives believe that the location that the body was found, is a secondary crime scene and not where the actual homicide took place. Detectives are looking for a primary crime scene as well as any known associates that may have information about this investigation. There is a strong possibility that the death occurred outside of Chambers County and the body was transported and left.
