Early Voting continues at a record pace

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

The turnout for early voting in Liberty County for the November 3rd General Elections started strong last week and continued strong on Monday. By the close of voting last Friday, 6,579 Liberty County voters had cast their ballot early. On Monday, add an additional 1889 and the numbers prove a great turn out for this general election. Early voting opportunities continue this week from 9-7 Tuesday through Friday Saturday 9-4. The four early voting locations are the Jack Hartel Community Building, 318 San Jacinto Street in Liberty; Cleveland Civic Center, 210 Peach Avenue in Cleveland; Dayton Community Center at 801 South Cleveland St. in Dayton and Hardin City Hall, 142 CR 2010 in Hardin. Liberty County Elections administrator Klint Bush said they have moved voting to larger rooms in both the Dayton and Cleveland voting locations to better handle the volume of voters. Voters are reminded they will need an approved photo ID in order to vote early or on Election Day, November 3. Remember, no matter where you live, you can vote at any of the four voting locations during early voting, and on Election Day. For voting information, call the Liberty County Election Administrators Office at 936-253 -8050.
