A local man was killed when struck by a reported hit and run driver on FM 160 just east of FM 2830. According to information from Liberty Co. Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Ronnie Davis, at 11:00 P.M. Sunday, June 14th,46-year-old Frederick Arceneaux was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling on FM 160. Judge Davis told KSHN after Mr. Arceneaux was hit, the driver of the vehicle fled. Judge Davis says a local woman driving on FM 160 saw a man in the middle of the roadway. She stopped and called 911. The Precinct #2 JP says investigation of impact site revealed the fleeing driver left no skid marks on FM 160. The pedestrian was only a few hundred feet from his home. Judge Ronnie Davis ruled the death of Fredrick Arceneaux's accidental and ordered an autopsy. Authorities urge anyone with information about the hit and run death of Fredrick Arceneaux on Sunday Night June 14th to call Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-STOP or 800-392-7867. All calls to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and the reportee may earn a reward of up to $1,000. The Texas Department of Public Safety is conducting the investigation.
