Saturday is Independence Day and one day earlier on Friday July 3rd the night sky over Liberty will light up with fireworks. It is important to note that there will be no program prior to the fireworks which should get underway at dark, expected around 9:15. Here is how this affects those who like fireworks. Liberty City Manager Tom Warner says folks are allowed to come into Liberty city park. However, they can not congregate. Just stay with in cars or trucks for your own safety….. or watch from any of the nearby parking lots, but please practice social distancing – show others that in south Liberty County we can make this work. The parks, playground equipment, ball fields, and pavilion will all be closed. The music that accompanies the fireworks can be heard here on kshn.com. That’s Friday July 3rd at the Liberty City Park.
