More news from the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, and this is good news. Chambers County Sheriffs K9 dogs - Molly and Harvey will receive a donation of body armor. The K9s will receive bullet and stab protective vests thanks to a charitable donation from a non-profit organization called Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Molly’s vest is sponsored by Jeanne Ryan of Greer, SC and the vest will be embroidered with “This gift of protection is provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”. K9 Harvey’s vest will be embroidered with “This gift of protection provided by Keith”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., was established in ‘09, is a non-profit group whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is custom fitted for the K9 officer that will wear the vets. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided 4,101 vests to K9s in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million. All are made possible by both private and corporate donations and two of those ae Chambers County K9’s.
