Lazy H Shut Down by TABC

Last month Governor Greg Abbott announced that due to a surge is coronavirus cases throughout Texas, that all bars must be shut down to slow the spread of the virus. The Governor said, in his news release, quote “At this time it is clear that the rise in cases is largely driven by certain types of activities, including Texans congregating in bars” unquote. Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission also known as the TABC, announced on Monday of this week that several bars were cited over the weekend and penalized with a 30 day suspension of their liquor license, In Liberty one establishment the Lazy H on north Main Street has been closed. According to the TABC The Lazy H, here in Liberty, will have the opportunity to contest the suspension at a hearing before an administrative judge. Governor Abbott further stated in his news release , quote “The actions in the executive order are essential to our mission to swiftly contain this virus and protect public health” unquote
