LHS runner Patrick Flowers headed to state

From Liberty Cross Country Coach Joe Roberts, the long hiatus is over; Panther Cross Country is headed back to the State Meet. Tuesday, sophomore runner Patrick Flowers secured his spot at the big dance with a 16:47 three mile time and a 7th place overall finish. The Regional meet, held in Huntsville at the Kate Barr-Ross Park and hosted by Sam Houston State, was a packed field with 124 of the best runners in Region 3. Flowers started strong and stayed in the top 10 through the first two miles before turning to his kick and passing several for his medal and state qualifying finish. The entire boys team ran well, finishing 9th out of 15 teams. Patrick will travel to Round Rock and run at 12:30 pm at Old Settler's Park on Tuesday November 24, 2020. Congratulations to Patrick Flowers and Coach Joe Roberts and Coach Casey Evans
