As the rise in coronavirus cases continues in Liberty County on Thursday, 18 more cases have been confirmed. Liberty county now has 569 confirmed cases with 284 recoveries. The Liberty County Office of Emergency Management reports the new cases range in age from under 10 to over 80. Six of the new cases are from North Liberty County, while twelve are from the south end. With the addition of these 18, the county now has 127 new cases just this week. All news cases are being treated at home unless otherwise noted. Since the start of the pandemic in March, there have been three deaths attributed to COVID-19 symptoms. Those three deaths were all in the first month of the pandemic. We know it is repeated quite often but Public health experts urge everyone to practice social distancing, wear a face covering, wash hands frequently, and sneeze or cough into the elbow. Experts also say if someone has a fever above 100 degrees, they should stay home. Again, on Thursday, the Liberty County Office of Emergency Management reported 18 new cases of COVID-19. That brings the number of overall confirmed COVID-19 cases in Liberty County to 569 and 127 of those new cases just this week.
