On Wednesday, Liberty County Emergency officials added 30 more confirmed cases of COVID-19. With that Liberty County now has 551 confirmed cases but there has been 284 recoveries. The Liberty County Office of Emergency Management reports these 30 new cases range in age from under 10 to over 80. Twenty-Two of the new cases are from North Liberty County, while eight are from the south end. According to The Liberty County Office of Emergency Management personnel, the county now has 109 new cases just this week. Since the start of the pandemic in mid-March, there have been three deaths attributed to COVID-19 symptoms.Public health experts urge everyone to practice social distancing, wear a face covering, wash hands frequently, and sneeze or cough into the elbow.Experts also say if someone experiences a fever above 100 degrees, they should stay home. Again, on Wednesday, the Liberty County Office of Emergency Management staff reported 30 more cases of COVID-19. That brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Liberty County to 551. That makes 109 new cases diagnosed just this week in this county.
