After some 34 years, Dianne Tidwell, Liberty City Secretary is retiring at the end of this month. She has worked for no less than 14 Liberty City managers. Tuesday, Dianne and her husband, former Liberty Police Chief Billy Tidwell, were guests on the KSHN.COM partyline program. While reminiscing on days past, Dianne said a memo released Monday afternoon from city manager Tom Warner named the new city secretary who will take over that very important post on August 1st. April Gilliland has worked for the city in a number of capacities for more than 13 years herself, and with this promotion becomes the Liberty City Secretary. April is assuming the duties held by Dianne Tidwell, or at least until the end of day Friday, July 31st. Congratulations to Dianne and her husband Billy – who will both be retired now and the very best of good fortune to April Gilliland as the new City Secretary.
