We’ve mentioned this before but as a reminder Dayton’s celebration, for the second year running, is an Old Spanish Trail or OST Antique/Classic Car Parade set on Saturday, November 9. The parade originates at the Dayton Community Center. This year and for the remaining 8 years to come, veterans are invited to be special guests and ride in the parade. At 10:00 a.m. on 9th November the parade take a route on Highway 90, Dayton to Liberty, circle the courthouse, and then back to the community center. The cars will then be on display until the afternoon and there will be food trucks, music, and lively conversation. Anyone with a pre-1985 vehicle is invited to register and drive in the parade and have the great honor of hosting a veteran to ride with you. Veterans are invited to register and be in the parade. Register at the city’s website: daytontx.org, and click on OST/Veteran Motorcade. Scroll down to: Register Here and fill out the form. Free special tee shirts will go to drivers and veterans who register. Remember, they are only accepting the first 100 cars and veterans. Call 936-258-6630.
