Its official, Santa is coming to Liberty for Country Christmas to see all of his friends and even have a parade. The City of Liberty is once again sponsoring the annual Lighted Country Christmas Parade downtown Tuesday December 1st. The folks at City Hall are currently accepting entry’s for the parade. One big important reminder. We all know it - there is only ONE Santa Claus , no other Santa’s will be allowed in or near this event. All entrees should be decorated with an abundance of lights, Remember this parade is at night, so drag out the real holiday spirit and decorate with as many lights as possible. Antique vehicles, to include vintage vehicles or classic cars and motorcycles, of all types, are welcome and will add a great deal to the joy of the long running parade. No-I say no – No candy, beads, toys, flyers or anything else may be thrown, handed out or given away from the parade.
Common sense tells us that kids will chase after these things and could be hurt. So, go to the KSHN.COM “LOCAL GOVERNMENT” link and click on the City of Liberty website to find the official entry form. Fill them out and return to the city of liberty by close of business November 25.
