Two LHS Seniors named to high honor in choir

Two Liberty High Seniors have been selected as Texas Music Scholars. In a news release forwarded to us by Choir director Christie Ben we learned that Zandrea Carter and Faith Singh were named to prestigious statewide honor by Texas Music Educators Association. That large organization sponsors the Texas All-State Bands, Orchestras and Choirs. They were nominated for this honor by their choir director, Christie Bean.

One of the Liberty honorees, Zandrea Carter, will be attending Texas A & M University to pursue a degree in BioMedical Science to become a Veterinarian.

Then, Faith Singh, as also a LHS Senior, is set to attend Lamar University pursuing a degree in vocal music education. This award is given to students who have exhibited outstanding qualities in scholastic merit, musicianship and citizenship in their school and community during the 2019-2020 school year.

Again Faith Singh and Zandria Carter graduating seniors at Liberty High School have named Texas Music Scholars by the Texas Music Educators Association.  The TMEA represents over 13,000 music teachers in Texas.
