Valley Players cancel remainder of season

For the first time in its 67-year history, the Valley Players Community Theater, is canceling the remainder of its 2020 season. This move is due, of course,  to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Valley Players board member Jackie Hartel-Smith says a lot goes into putting on a production. Social distancing rules also played a part in this decision to cancel this season. She says the theater only holds 150 people, making social distancing difficult. This year’s musical production 9 to 5 is moving to the 2021 Valley Players season. Jackie Hartel-Smith says those who have already paid their membership for this year will be credited for the 2021 season. Mrs. Hartel-Smith says, if you have any questions or would like to buy a membership for 2021, visit their Facebook page at
